Theatre Rehearsal

Today for the first time, our D team had a rehearsal in the theatre. I was really nervous and worried if I messed things up. When we arrived we changed into our shoes and waited for C team to leave. Then we put on our mics and started the rehearsal. The mistakes that I made was : I messed up the exits and entrances in scene 3 (which ended up for me to come out late to say my line after coming down the stairs from the balcony) / I needed to stand on the white mark during #11. I need make sure that I don't have any mistakes during the real performance

First Performance

On February 18th 2:00 it was the day for the first performance of team D. Our call time was 10:45 am so I tried not to be late. When we arrived, Mr Bong lead us backstage to the makeup room where we wait. I was really freaking out but I tried to stay calm. While the team before us was performing (Best Team : A) we practiced while some of us was getting our makeup done. I had a problem with trying to wear my lens and stockings but now I remember I need to do that at home before I come. After we all put on our wigs/makeup/outfits (I had a little problem with the outfit not fitting me and wearing my mic on the outside) we headed backstage to wait for the starting time. When the performance's starting music came out I tried to calm my self down before getting ready for the opening. While the angles was flying I went up the stairs to do my first line (the skirt was really long for me though) and I think I closed the window too quickly. When it was scene 3 I tried to be really disgusted but in a lady-like way when I am getting mad at Hortensio and Gremio. The problem that almost occured to me during that scene was : Can I go up the balcony and come back down in the right timing to say my line? (Luckily I made it in time) When it was scene 6 I tried to do it the way Bianca and I practiced together and I think the audience liked it. But I was worried if Bianca's wig came off when I pulled her hair (it didn't) Then it was #6 and I tried to finish the dance with Petruchio perfectly but I think we ended up doing it too fast. But luckily when I "slapped Petruchio's face" the audience had a good reaction. In scene 8 my veil was keep falling off but I think Petruchio and I pulled it off great. In scene 10 I really tried to sound sleepy/hungry/thirsty and I tried not to curl my eyebrows too much. In scene 11 I tried to hit the high parts but I think it didn't sound good enough. And after the song I was supposed to look at where Petruchio's window was but as an accident I looked at Bianca's window! I need to make sure to not do that next time. When it was the ending scene I really tried to smile a lot. After the performance ended we took our team photos then took off our wig/outfit. Then we had our call time and Mr Kevin told the mistakes we made. Overall I think I need to practice more until our D team's last performance!!^^
