4월11일 온라인 연습 후기

Today is the first day of online practice of "The Jungle Book". I am really sad that we don't get to go to the classroom but I hope that we get to go there soon.

Acting Zoom Class

For the first class, we had acting class on zoom with Mr.Bong. It was really nice to see him again. He told us that we will be starting with different kinds of method acting by acting a few lines. The first line we acted was "Hey!! It's not PE class now!! The teacher wants us to come in!!". He said that we need to take notice of what it says inside the brackets which said "From the classroom to the field." He said that we need to speak more loudly. The next line is "Hey, where should we go after this?? (At the library)" The teacher said that we need to speak quietly according to the brackets. There were a few more lines we did and the last one we did is "General, more enemy soldiers are heading this way" This one was pretty hard for me because I didn't experience it before so the teacher gave us a few tips for this line. Next we moved on to animal acting. The first animal we did was wolves which was pretty easy for me but the bear was the complicated one and then we did monkeys(but we could only watch the video)

Mr John's acting class

This is the 3rd time I watched his video and his tips are always helpful. The two tips that I most remind myself everyday is:
1)Make the audience believe that what I’m doing, is happening right now
2)How to prepare for a audition
Practice
Relax
Deliver
The first one is pretty hard to do but it helps me a lot and the second one always helps me when I am preparing for an audition.

Online Rehearsal scene 1-5

After Mr John's class, we practiced from scene 1 to scene 5 (plus writing about each scene) In scene 1, I feel like I need to practice how Tabaqui is going to say "Good morning" when he is a bad character. In scene 2, I feel like I need to practice matching the beat when I am singing. In scene 3, I need to practice how to react to what the animals are saying. For scene 5, it was the first time I heard the song and it was pretty confusing. So I think I need to listen to it a bunch of times.

Overall, today's class really helped me a lot and I will review them each and everyday. Also I hope that we can all meet again soon at the classroom.
