9/25 Homework

For 9/25, we had English acting and acting class with Brad teacher and Bong Da Roon teacher.

For 1st class, we had English acting class with Brad teacher. We first started off with some word riddles like Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers, and She sells sea shells by the sea shore. We did this to work on our English pronunciation so that we don't mess up words. After that, Brad teacher went over act 1 of the musical. He told us how the characters in the scene should act and told us how to say the lines and how to do the movements each character does. After we went over the whole act, we then played a game called Movie Movie. The premise of the game is that there are 2 random letters chosen and we must make a title for the movie and tell what the plot of that movies and Brad teacher reviews it. The game was simple fun and I liked it cause it made me try to think of creative things in a short period of time.

For 2nd class, we had acting class with Bong Da Roon teacher. We first worked on our pronunciation again and put our tongues behind our front teeth and told what we did in our Chuseok holiday. After that, we mimed several questions that Bong Da Roon teacher gave us. These questions were to mime an animal, or object that the teacher gave us and we would give the questions to ourselves or someone else and they would answer it. Then, we were given a question and we needed to act it out. Finally, Bong Da Roon teacher gave us two lines to say from the musical. He gave us some advice on the lines as well. According to him, he told us that our acting defines a relationship between characters and that we must act with emotion to make sure that our relationship is accurate. We practiced emotions for this such as being angry and in love.
