1/17 Review

For 1/17 individual practice, I tried to improve on all my scenes with more emotion and try to make them more lively and emotional. I then tried to implement these improved scenes and practiced the whole musical.
For song 4, I practiced on breathing while singing the song so I don't run out of breath and my voice becomes shaky and unstable. I also practiced on turning during the last part of the song so that I could look natural and have a smooth turn and not feel cranky and robotic. I also tried to give the best possible emotion and acting when I say my dialogue so I don't rush it. I tried to take it slow so all possible emotion come out without making the dialogue too slow and boring.
For scene 7, there is no dialogue so I need to make up with my hand gestures and facial expressions. I tried to be almost happy but still a little worried but I'm still need a little more practice. My hand gestures need to carry a little burden while I'm portraying the wedding ceremony,
For song 10, I also practiced breathing exercises while performing the song. I should try and keep my breath stable so my voice doesn't get unstable like song 4. I practiced trying to keep my breath stable while singing and also try to achieve high notes for the song. I also tried to give a more specific emotion while singing high notes so I need keep singing high notes while giving more emotion.
For song 12, I practiced singing with a kind of sad emotion while singing. I should try to keep a sad emotion on my face and in my voice during this song. During the curtain call, I should try to give a happy and thankful facial expression throughout the whole song, and I should be almost grateful for Romeo and Juliet.
