Today was the first practice of the production "Around the world in 80 days", but it was online because of the increase in covid.

1. Mr. Brad's English acting class

We started off with a quick introduction of ourselves and began class with some tongue twisters to practice our pronunciation. All of them were pretty easy except the one from "Mary Poppins". The twister just couldn't fall out of my mouth clearly. After that, we read the one-scene script. I was picked to read as Mr. Fogg and I actually wanted to try saying the lines with a British(?) accent but I was a little nervous to do that. Then Mr. Brad gave us some scenarios that we had to react to. I actually wanted to volunteer to do the million likes/views one but I was too nervous to try out for it. I think next time I need to try to be more confident.

2. Mr. Bong's acting class

The class started off (as usual) by putting our tongues behind our teeth and introducing ourselves. I think I haven't been practicing my pronunciation a lot so I think I need to continuously practice it. Because I am a new(?) member of this production, I was picked to introduce myself in front of the whole class. I was really nervous and sometimes during my introduction, I had to let my tongue drop. After that, we did a montage of one person in our class and my picture ended up with the face being on one side and the neck on the other side. Then we did some mime by "making" sushi and giving it to another person. I think next time, I want to "make" one for my little sister with lots of wasabi in it. Then we played a quick game of sense and the teacher said that if we reach the number 15, then he would buy us ice cream! But sadly, we could only reach up to 5. Then we did some improv and lastly finished off with some staccato.

Even though the practice was online, I really enjoyed it and I hope that next week we could all meet back together again!
