3/13 Homework |
For 3/13 we had English and Vocal class with Brad and Rachel teacher.
For English, we first started off with some tongue twisters such as selfish shellfish and A big black bug bit a big black bear. The tongue twisters all had a fast rhythm to them so it was kind of hard to pronounce them fast. After we practiced our tongue twisters, we played a short game where we needed to say words that were related to a category that Brad teacher gave. We played the game in pairs and I won a game where the category was drinks so I felt good. After we played this game, we then rehearsed scenes 1 to scene 3. I played the roles of Sullivan and his lines are ok but I don't think I will audition for him. We learned the meaning of some of the words in the script. After that, we played another game called Movie Movie where we had to make up a plot of a movie title that had to start with two specific letters. The game was a little nice bit of fun.
For Vocal class, we had Rachel teacher. We started off the lesson by working up our voice by doing brrrs and aaaas. After we warmed up our voice, we started by learning song 1. The song is very fast and so I need to try and keep a stable voice while singing. The song is also very high so I need to keep my voice steady while singing. After song 1, we moved on to song 2. We analyzed all the meanings of the lyrics in song 2. Song 2 is also very high and has a lot of high notes. The tempo isn't as fast a song 1 so I just need to make sure to not to go to high to break my voice while singing this song. For song 3, we also analyzed the lyrics and meanings. This song is not high like song 1 and song 2 so I just need to maintain a good understanding of the lyrics to bring out how I need to sing this song.
