Today was already the last day of "Around The World in 80 Days" camp. I can't really tell if it was a successful one or not but I think our team tried our best. We first practiced with A,B and took turns going through some scenes and songs. I (we) got pointed out that there should be some more sadness/crying in song 2 when we say "Mami !!!" and when we do eye-contact with Passepartout. The directing teacher also said to think about when we were younger and when we wanted our moms. I have been a big crybaby when I was younger so I think that will help me act it out. When we did song 8, I tried to belt the notes but instead I had a voice crack when I sing "Call..." I can sing the notes in head voice but it doesn't make me sound powerful like a judge while when I sing in chest voice, my voice gets cracked. I think I should practice this in both ways and see which one sounds a little bit more better and easier to sing. We also presented the Indian dance drama to A,B team and because the chorus was not our real(?) chorus, I sadly made a few mistakes. After eating lunch, we practiced with A,B again but this time we went over some of the weak(?) dances. After A,B left, our J(B) team did a run. We also made a few edits to the exits/entrances along the way. I have heard though that the other teams have learned the doors and the exact(?) directions, so for now I should at least review the directions now so I can know it overall. I don't know why but I am starting to get a little bit confused with the lines I have to say for my "Multi" role (mostly song 11). I think it's because I didn't really look in the meaning in what I'm saying and when I was memorizing it, I just took the words and stuck it into my head. Next time, I should understand what I am saying and then start memorizing the lines which will help me know what to say. The run went smoothly(?) and lastly the directing teacher told me that I should sound like a pirate(?) when I am acting as the sailor. I don't understand how a sailor and a pirate will get combined but I will still try to work it out.
Overall I think this camp was really helpful for me and our team and even though it was not like a real(?) camp, it was still really fun to practice with my teammates !!
