When I went to the theater for practice today, we started off from where we had ended last class, scene 9. Later when it was my turn to be on stage, I learned that Snug, Flute, and I have to come out of the 2nd entrance. Also, the teacher explained to us all the instructions for when the knights have to chase Bottom after he had turned into a Donkey; slow-motion running, pushing Lysander and Demetrius while yelling ¡°Stop right there!¡±, and more. When I came home, I quickly wrote down all the places to stand and exit/come out from which I had learned today incase I forget. The teacher told me I had gotten better than last class which brightened up my day. Still, they said that I am allowed to sing in a lower octave. This meant that I should sing louder.
In today¡¯s homework, I had to find a character like mine. First, I thought about Peter Quince¡¯s personality; he is dedicated and very ambitious. In the end, I chose Peter Quill from the Guardians of the Galaxy series. Not only is it that their names are so similar, but also because of their characteristics. Both of them are the leaders of the group, they have gone through crazy situations, -- like how Quince has experienced his friend turn into a donkey and Quill has his adventures -- the plans don¡¯t always work, and that sometimes their team won¡¯t listen¡¦ for example, Nick Bottom and Drax!
For the second part, I watched videos about The Midsummer Night¡¯s Dream online to learn more about the plot, setting, and characters, especially mine.
Lastly, I did run-throughs and practiced just my parts alone. I¡¯m posting this early, though I will be working more on improving myself later on today.
Fighting, team D!!
